Alibaba Cloud Hosts Internet Day 2022 to Bolster Malaysia’s Digitalisation Efforts

Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba Group's digital technology and intelligence backbone, announced at Alibaba Cloud Internet Day 2022 in Kuala Lumpur that it will expand its Digital Empowerment Program in Malaysia to better support local digitalisation and accelerate ecosystem innovation in the post-pandemic era. The new initiative will provide cloud credit empowerment, training seminars, and dedicated technological services, with a focus on major areas with high demand for digital transformation, such as Internet, Finance, and Retail.

Held in Hilton Kuala Lumpur by Alibaba Cloud, this half-day technology conference has connected emerging industry experts to feature the key trends and development of internet-related industries in the cloud to empower Malaysian tech professionals to develop in their fields. The conference has thrown some light on the importance of cloud management and software, operations automation skills, as well as organisational paradigms to support digital business to the innovators and leaders from different sectors. 

Supporting Innovation in Various Industries
Aside from Alibaba Cloud's featured speakers, several keynote speakers who are emerging players from various sectors such as healthcare, entertainment, and the internet have also shared their perspectives on how Alibaba Cloud has helped them prepare for the next wave of innovation in the digital ecosystem.

TELEME Technologies, a telehealth service app that connects health practitioners, patients, and pharmacies through a digital ecosystem, has used Alibaba Cloud's ECS, ApsaraDB, and OSS to help hold the critical value of elastic computing in the form of a scalable cloud platform to meet TELEME's rapidly changing business needs. “Alibaba Cloud provides TELEME with best in class security, scalability, and reliability, combined with information that is stored locally in Malaysia and in compliance with the local laws,” said by the speaker, Director cum Chief Medical Officer of TELEME, Dr Hoh Hon Bing.

Mohd Hafiz Bin Mohd Ismail, CEO of Tribeans Solutions, a software development company that provides media streaming services by leveraging Alibaba Cloud’s Video on Demand (VOD) Solutions, said, “Recent pandemic has shown the importance of IT and accelerated the adoption of digital technologies by several years.
